The SU is committed to supporting students to make informed decisions about their sexual health, and improving access to services such as sexual health testing and access to safer sex materials.

From the SU
The SU keeps a limited stock of safer sex materials, menstrual care products and pregnancy tests which are available to students for free.
We can provide:
- Latex condoms
- Non-latex condoms
- Lube sachets
Students can use this form to request them from the SU, to be picked up discreetly from locker 21 on the ground floor of SU HQ (by the lift) within 24-48 hours. Alternatively, just ask at SU HQ Reception or the SU Advice Centre, or email the SU's Welfare & Campaigns Officer via welfare@warwicksu.com.
You can make a dental dam out of a condom by following these instructions.
Via the C-Card Scheme
You can also sign up for the C-Card scheme (available to anyone up to the age of 25) which offers free safer sex supplies at many locations across the local area, including via SU HQ Reception and the Advice Centre, and the pharmacy off the SU Atrium.
Sexual Health Testing & Advice
Campus-Based
The SU organises a series of Sexual Health Drop-Ins each year for students, which are a free confidential drop-in service that offers testing for sexually-transmitted infections (STIs), as well as information about sexual health, safer sex and contraception. The clinics are provided by Coventry Integrated Sexual Health Service (ISHS) and peer student sexual health educators. Find out about the sexual health drop-in events here...
M W Philips pharmacy in the SU Atrium are also able to offer sexual health testing for chlamydia.
Leamington-based
The Brunswick Hub in Leamington offers a community sexual health & family planning clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Details of their opening times and services provided are available online.
Coventry-based
The Coventry Integrated Sexual Health Service (ISHS) can help you with testing, care and advice on sexually transmitted infections and contraception in Coventry. The service is based in the City of Coventry Health Centre on Stoney Stanton Road in Coventry (CV1). Details of their opening times and services provided are available online.
HIV Testing
You can access HIV testing by post, via a local pharmacy, or from Coventry Integrated Sexual Health Service. Read more about the different options, and how to access them here.
Postal Testing
You can request a free testing kit for chlamydia by post from freetest.me, or for HIV from freetesting.hiv. The kits are small and discreetly packaged, and are sent by first class post.
Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
PEP is a combination of HIV drugs which can be used to reduce the likelihood of a HIV negative person getting HIV after they have been exposed to the virus. PEP needs to be prescribed, and can be obtained from A&E departments or sexual health clinics. PEP needs to be taken as soon after exposure as possible to increase its chances of working effectively.
PrEP stands for Pre-exposure Prophylaxis and allows people to take anti HIV medication daily, or before sex, in order to prevent HIV from being able to take hold in someone’s body if they are exposed to it. Find out whether you're eligible at iwantprepnow.co.uk
