Women’s Association

The new Liberation & Diversity Associations have been launched to strengthen the support the SU offers marginalised and underrepresented students and their communities.

Each Association is unique, and will share more information on their aims shortly.

In summary, the Women's Association will:

  • Act as a voice for women students,
  • Be consulted on issues affecting women students,
  • Bring relevant concerns to the attention of the SU and the University,
  • Organise activities for the benefit of their communities,
  • Communicate relevant updates and opportunities to their members.

Membership

There are two types of membership. There is no cost to either membership.

For women students:

All students who self-define as a woman are full members of the Association. Choose the 'Association Member' option below to receive communications from the Association.

Members can nominate themselves for (and hold) Association committee positions, as well as to vote in Association elections and on proposed constitutional and policy changes.

For students who don't self-define as a woman:

Any member of Warwick SU may choose to become a supporter of the Association. Choose the 'Association Supporter' option below to become a supporter and receive communications from the Association.

Supporters are not entitled to nominate themselves for (or hold) Association committee positions, or to vote in Association elections or on proposed constitutional and policy changes.

Committee

The committee for the Women's Association is currently being elected in the Summer Elections.

The Women's Officer, elected in Spring Elections, will be an ex-officio member of the committee.

Other Associations

There are currently four other Associations you may wish to join:
