Hi, I am Mya, the Widening Participation Officer. My role is to help those that identify as widening participation students to tackle any hardships that they may face and be the voice to lead for a change.

My role and what I hope to achieve this year:
I hope to represent widening participation students, ensuring their experience is brought to light and Tutors and fellow students become aware of their experiences. I aim to lobby for help in the cost-of-living crisis, looking to make university more affordable and sustainable for these students. Lastly, I want to highlight the intersections that many widening participation students face, something that will be done through working alongside the other officers.
