Welfare & Campaigns Officer

Enaya Nihal

Vice President for Welfare & Campaigns

SHe/Her

I’m Enaya, your Vice President for Welfare & Campaigns at the SU. My role enables me to lead on policy and campaigns at Warwick and liaise with multiple internal & external organisations as your representative. From addressing the student mental health crisis to combating inequality and discrimination, my unwavering commitment lies in championing student welfare and leading impactful campaigns that drive positive change on our campus.

Course:
Economics, Politics, and International Studies (Bipartite)

Hometown:
Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Fun fact about me:
I have been to a total of 10 schools thanks to moving neighbourhoods/cities/countries!

My role and what I hope to achieve this year:
My primary goal is to make our campus a safer and more inclusive environment for all students. To achieve this, I plan to implement initiatives such as Safezone, expand the Get Home Safe Campaign, and address the pressing issue of cost-of-living through the Cost of Living and End Period Poverty campaigns. Additionally, I am committed to reducing waiting times for well-being appointments and enhancing mental health support provided by the university. I will also offer comprehensive support to our societies and sports clubs in campaigns like Movember. I will be working with Wellbeing, Report + Support, Community Safety, the Advice Centre, departments, and external bodies to provide you with a better student experience. Together, we can create a campus that prioritizes the well-being of every student.
