India has a rich tradition of classical dance and fine arts which Warwick Indian Classical Dance aims to give prominence to within the performing arts scene at Warwick University. Warwick ICD is unlike any other dancing society at Warwick. Our close knit group consists of dancers ranging in all sorts of abilities, from those who have never even done dancing, to those that are near experts. Indian classical dance forms 'make for a vigorous workout of the mind, body and soul' toning arms and legs and strenghening core and facial muscles.
This society welcomes everyone with open arms, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced level dancer! We would like to encourage anyone with a passion for dance and wants to try something new to join us in this coming year. As a member, you will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of shows throughout the year. We have had dancers at performances at One World Week, Pizazz, Balls and even at Thaala - a university-wide ICD competition!
Current students should purchase the Indian Classical Dance Society Standard Membership below.
