Societies

Warwick Plant and Nature Society is a new society, aimed at promoting love for the natural world. We are open to everyone; whether you've killed a cactus and don't know anything about the environment, or if you own your own private jungle! 

As a society our aims are:

• To build a nature-loving community.
• To improve our understanding of the natural world. 
• To provide opportunities to appreciate nature and wildlife locally.
• To grow and share knowledge of growing and maintaining houseplants.
• To utilise the physical and mental health benefits of reconnecting with nature.

A key purpose of Plantsoc is to create a chilled and relaxed atmosphere where everyone is welcome to society events. We have weekly casual meetings for members to socialise, and often run plant or sustainability based workshops. In the past this has included houseplant propagation, reduction of food waste discussions and medicinal properties of plants and fungi. We also run in person nature walks, forest bathing, pinics and many more socials! Our socials are meant to be opportunities to take a break from work and immerse themselves in a peaceful environment with a likeminded community.
