Whether you have a passion for ice skating / ice hockey, or a budding interest, Warwick Ice Skating is the club for you, catering to all skill levels, including those who have never skated before.

Ice Skating

The club hosts a general skate sessions every week on Mondays from 20:30-22:30 and on Wednesdays from 13:00-16:00, where members have access to discounted entry to the rink which includes skate hire. To attend these sessions, members need to purchase Ice Cards from the rink through the Planet Ice website - these cost £20/year and permit the discounted club members entry. During the sessions, club members may take part in general skating lessons or figure skating lessons. These lessons are discounted through the club and taught in groups by professional, qualified coaches. Our members are very friendly and most will be happy to give you tips and tricks on the ice! At the start of terms 1 and 2, we hold taster skating sessions for both current and prospective members for £5, which includes 3 hours of skating and skate hire.

Ice Hockey

We also have an incredibly friendly ice hockey team. People of all abilities are welcome to join our team training sessions on Mondays at 22:45 (no equipment or experience needed!). The more experienced players also have the opportunity to compete in matches as the Warwick and Coventry Panthers in the BUIHA league. Off-ice we also enjoy playing street hockey on weekends for an opportunity to get outside :) For more information on the ice hockey team, follow our instagram @warwickcovpanthers.

Ice Hockey Tasters: tasters will be running Mondays 22:45 weeks 1 & 2 for £8, it's a great introduction for all abilities and a good laugh so please bring your friends! Fill out our taster sign up form here to get involved!

The rink where our skating sessions take place is located at the Skydome in Coventry and is called Planet Ice. Going from campus takes approximately 15-20 minutes by bus and the facility offers a safe and friendly atmosphere for skaters.

We also aim to hold a variety of socials throughout the year, including both drinking and non-drinking based activities.
