What is Korfball?
Korfball is a fast-paced ball sport that relies on both tactics and teamwork, often described as a mixture between netball and basketball... just with a taller post! A team is made up of four male members and four female members, with half of this team attacking and the other half defending (rotating after every two goals scored). The sport originated in the Netherlands and has grown rapidly in popularity in recent years, with more teams entering regional leagues year on year.
Who are We?
The University of Warwick Korfball Club is going into its fourth year on campus. Korfball is not only a great way to keep fit but it is also a brilliant opportunity to meet new people as well as learning a new sport! We play in the West Midlands Korfball League, compete in BUCS tournaments and host regular friendlies against other clubs, meaning that whether you want to play competitively or just for fun, korfball is for you! ...and don't worry, everyone is welcome - it doesn't matter if you've played for the last 10 years or never heard of the sport before, come along and give it a try!
